The Israeli government said on November 24 that it would summon the Belgian and Spanish ambassadors. This comes after remarks made by Spanish PM Pedro Sánchez and his Belgian counterpart Alexander de Croo on war between Israel-Hamas. The two leaders criticised Israel for the suffering of Palestinian civilians under Israeli military operations in Gaza. Sánchez and de Croo appeared at Egypt’s Rafah crossing on November 24 where the first 13 Israeli hostages were released.
